Twenty properties were recognized at this year’s Kansas City Beautiful Awards on September 8, 2005, on the deck of Liberty Memorial.

Kansas City Mayor Kay Barnes and Roger Smith, Kessler Society President, emceed the event that drew over 100 people. Kansas City Council members Becky Nace, Deb Hermann and Chuck Eddy joined Parks & Recreation board member William Washington to helping to recognize the homeowners achievements.

“It was a very meaningful award for everyone that won because they were eing recognized for the hard work they love doing,” said Matt Stueck of Suburban Lawn & Garden.

“I want to thank everyone who participated this year,” added Kessler Society president Roger Smith. “The K.C. Beautiful Awards have again proved that Kansas City is the most beautiful city in the country.”
